5 life hacks for busy girlies
We know adulting can be hard sis. Balancing your nutrition, training, work, social life, family, self care AND finding time to rest and prioritise yourself can seem like an impossible task. But remember, you don’t have to do all the things, or be ‘perfect’ to see results. It’s all about balance gf!
And while balance will look different for everyone depending on their lifestyle/age/circumstances and job, there are a few key things you can focus on to make your day to day life less stressful.
So, here are our 5 top tips for busy girlies to help you create the time, space, and energy for the things you love!
Plan ahead
- This might seem obvious, but thinking ahead rather than making decisions on the fly will help you stay more organised and improve your time management
- This applies to both your health/fitness, and other areas too!
- For example, this might mean allocating time to meal prep or plan out your meals for the week, planning when you are going to do your sessions, waking up earlier so you have time to journal/go for a morning walk, or scheduling important meetings/tasks for when you are most productive!
Declutter
- A clear space = a clear mind gf!
- Taking 5-10 mins out of your day to declutter/tidy your space is so worth it, and will help with your mental clarity and focus
- Doing a little bit every day will save you having to do a bigger/more time consuming clean later on, and prevent things from piling up
- Set aside 10 minutes in the morning/evening for things like tidying up, putting away dishes, or making your bed. It really does make a difference!
Establish a morning/evening routine
- A daily routine will help provide you with structure and take the guesswork out of your day
- It can also help prevent decision fatigue and free up mental space for more pressing tasks
- Your routines don’t have to be super long or extensive either - even just 5 minutes is enough!
Regular exercise
- Regular exercise has SO many health benefits, but it also just makes life a lot easier!
- Being able to move freely and having a good level of mobility, strength and fitness makes day to day tasks a lot easier
- Don't just view exercise as a way to change how your body looks, but as a way to improve your longevity and quality of life!
- At the very least…you’ll save time and energy on carrying in the groceries if you can do it all in one trip!
Realistic to-do lists
- Take time each day to write out a to-do list
- Keep your list shorter so you don't feel overwhelmed, and prioritise your most pressing tasks first
- If you have extra time and can get more done, great! But don't start the day with a massive list as this can set you up for disappointment when you don't get through it all
